We are proud to announce our nomination of Sister Mary Owens, for the prestigious Jonathan Mann Award for Global Health and Human Rights. ( http://www.globalhealth.org/conference_2010/view )
Sister Mary is nominated for her work supporting the fundamental human right of HIV+ children to a robust future, which is denied to them without access to medicine and testing protocols that are standard procedure in developed countries. Sister Mary reminds us of the promised made in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights made in December, 1948 - a document we hold as a promise to a future we choose now.
